Utah Hiking Trip

These images were taken during a time when my family and I traveled to sunny Springdale, Utah to spend some quality time with one another. We eagerly explored Zion National Park over the course of a few days. We hiked up Angels Landing on our first day after arriving and it was quite an incredible sight to see. However, we unfortunately did not make it to the top because it was a very narrow, steep trail and my dad was worried one of us might get hurt due to the amount of foot traffic on the path. On the second day, we hiked the Narrows! This was by far my favorite activity and place at Zion. Walking through the huge canyons and water flowing through them was thrilling. It was one of the best experiences of my life, and being with my parents made it even better.

I tried my best to capture the beauty of my surroundings with my images but they will never be able to show just how incredible the journey was. I highly recommend visiting Zion National Park at least once, if possible.

Blue Hot Springs

Today was one of my favorite days. It started off with driving to an amazing crater that was about forty minutes away from the guesthouse we are currently staying in. Despite the fact that it was very windy and raining, it was a pretty sight. After we were done exploring there, we all went out to lunch at a little restaurant and enjoyed well cooked meals. I had a nice latte that hit the spot an made me warmer from the cold. Then, we headed over to Jarðböðin Nature Baths. We spent an hour or so soaking in the milky, light blue waters and had a really great time. I'll never forget how the water looked because it was so beautiful. Overall, it was just an enjoyable day.

Develop an interest in life as you see it; the people, things, literature, music - the world is so rich, simply throbbing with rich treasures, beautiful souls and interesting people. Forget yourself.

Halfway Through

The Iceland journey has come to a halfway mark...

Im very sad that in just 8 short days I'll have to leave my temporary home and all the amazing people I'm with. Although, it has been an incredible experience.

So far, the eleventh day here was my absolute favorite. The day consisted of hiking on Vatnajökull, one of the largest glaciers in Europe. It was so breathtaking...I wish I could go back and experience it all over again. The glacier's cracks were filled with beautiful blue water. Our tour guide even told us to take a sip of the icy water and I gladly did as he recommended. The water tasted so fresh and was just what I needed during the five hour hike. Even though it was long, I loved every minute of the adventure. After that, we got in the car and drove to a glacier lagoon about forty minutes away. On one side, glaciers floated in the ocean water and waves crashed against them and ice covered the black sand beach. On the other side, glaciers floated in perfectly still water, it was very calming to look at. I want to go back but these last eight days hold new, amazing adventures and I'm very excited to see what they bring and how they effect me as a person.

Greetings from Iceland!

We all like a great adventure and I have started a new one of my own...traveling to Iceland! It is definitely a new setting than I am used to because I usually travel to warm places and here it's icy cold. Although, I enjoy the weather a lot. I love rain, so I was thankful when it began to pour recently at "night". I say night like that because it never really gets dark here...ever. The sun merely lowers and touches the horizon and then raises again shortly after. Surprisingly, it isn't as hard to fall asleep as I thought it would be before I got here. If anything, it's actually nice to have a change.

So far, we start the days early and end them pretty late. Everyday holds a new experience though and that's what I love so much about being here. It is super beautiful here. The word beautiful doesn't even fully describe it because Iceland is absolutely breathtaking. I cannot wait for what amazing experiences the days to come hold.

Stay tuned for more updates!
